Biking with Daddy

Daddy takes me out on his bike and I love it! I often stand at the top of the stairs tapping my head and pointing down to the garage as I want to go down there and put on my helmet and go out riding.

Lunch at Tayla and Kaden's house

Last Friday we went to Tayla and Kaden's house for Lunch. We were celebrating Emma and Marie's birthdays. Mummy made a very yummy chocolate cake with cream and jam and real chocolate icing. Mummy let me have a little bit of cake but not the cream or icing. Boo! It seems I take after Mummy and love chocolate. Mmmmm

I can walk!

Today I went to Granny's and decided I'd like to try walking. I managed to do 11 steps! Mummy thought it was a pretty impressive effort for my first go! It's exactly 2 weeks until my 1st Birthday today. It looks like I might be walking lots by then! This means Mummy will be able to get out all my dresses in my wardrobe! Yippee! This is a picture of Granny congratulating me on being such a clever girl!

Teaching Zanzi to use his cat door

So Mummy and Daddy have been trying to get Zanzi to use his cat door for ages now. Yesterday I opened the door so he could come in. Today I held the door up for ages so he'd go out but he wouldn't oblige so I took the direct approach and grab his head and shoved it through the door. It worked a treat and now he can use his cat door. Hooray! Mummy and Daddy should have asked for my help earlier. Perhaps, I'm an animal whisperer!

Jumping Beans

Today I started Crawler Beans. It's a combination of music and gymnastics so I think it's great. I was clapping away, dancing, and laughing lots. I did the whole gym circuit over ladders, down slides, through tunnels, up stairs, along beams and down hills. I also went on the trampoline, bar and swing. I was pretty knackered at the end of the it. I can't wait until next week! Here's a picture of me and my friend Emily trying to catch bubbles.

Playgroup

Yesterday I started playgroup at Chapel Hill. I get to play with new toys and books and also do arts and crafts and painting. I completed my first work of art which I'm sure will sell for millions in the future.

Shopping with Granny

Today Mummy, Granny and I went clothes shopping for Mummy! I got to go in Granny's car and I even got to sit facing forward. I'm such a big girl these days. Adventures with Granny are fun. She's coming back on Monday to play again. Yay!!!

Gardening

So after playing in the sand at the beach, I wanted to play in the dirt at home. I found the pot plant on the deck and started my gardening spree. I thought it was lots of fun to pull all the dirt out of the pot and eat it. Mmmmm, tasty!

Raglan

On Saturday, Mummy and Daddy took me to Raglan. I haven't been there since our holiday when I was a little baby. We got eat fish and chips by the harbour and then go and play at the beach. It was a lovely sunny day and I'm sure it helped my cold.

Circulars

When Mummy gets the pamphlets out of the letterbox I like to help her read them. This involves me tearing them up, eating and them and spreading them all around the room. This results in a lot of flapping and excitement.

Birthday preparations

Can you belive it I'm nearly 1? Mummy has sent out the invites for my birthday party. Now she has to get food, games, and decorations sorted. Eeek! Here's a picture of me trying on my party dress.

Zanzi and Me

I love Zanzi. I can now do the sign for cat. I get so excited to see him. I love to give him cuddles. Zanzi and I still love all the same things.

I love my Helian Coo

I have a Helian Coo (also know as a highland cow) called Yetti. He's so furry and fluffy and I love to give him cuddles. Mummy's friend Ange sent him all the way from Edinburgh. I have lots of soft toys but he's the one I picked out as my favourite. I love him so much that Mummy and Daddy have had to order another one from the UK just in case!

I'm a little chatterbox

So my favourtie saying is "ta ba da" and then I giggle. I can say lots of words now. I don't always know what they mean but I mimic Mummy. I can say: cat, car, help, arm, head, up, down, yes, no, dad, mum and much more. When Granny was looking after me when I was 9 months old she was convinced I was saying "Mum, Dad, Car" and then waving as Mum and Dad had gone out in the car without me. I certainly like to chatter away all day.

Standing up is easy!

Guess what I can stand up all by myself. I can stand without holding on to anything for about a minute or maybe longer. I learnt this new trick in the bath with Daddy just before I turned 11 months.

I love walking with my trolley and I can even turn corners and go backwards now. I crash my way around the lounge bumping into all the furniture.

I can also go backwards down the stairs now. Everyone seems to think I'll be walking by myself by the time I turn 1.

My latest adventures

Mummy hasn't been taking as many photos lately to document all my adventures. I went to try out a playgroup and I'll hopefully be starting that next term. My cousin Vinnie and I are also going to be going to crawler beans which is like gymnastics and music combined. Mummy and I went to aqua play gym again at the Te Rapa pools. I absolutely love the water.

My new favourite game

I love to climb in and out of my toy box. It doesn't matter if it's full or empty I just climb on in. I think I'm pretty clever so I make sure I clap my hands when I'm made it in. I also like to play this game with boxes and the peg basket!

Uncle Ali comes to visit!

Uncle Ali came down from Auckland in the weekend. He hasn't seen me since the beginning of April! He says he'll come and visit again for my birthday. We went out to Granny and Grandad's to see him. Mummy, Daddy, Grandad, and Uncle Ali played tennis while I went for a sleep. I had fun playing with all the new toys. I even dressed myself up with a slinky!

I can walk with a trolley

So the other day Daddy showed Mummy that I can actually walk by myself with the trolley. I've been able to do for at least a month. Mummy is in denial though as she wants me to stay a little baby.
