Coffee Group 2

Last Friday Mummy and I met up with the babies from our antenatal class and took a photo of us in age order. I was so excited to be with all the other babies I couldn't keep still. Unfortunately for Sylvie that meant I kept bashing her in the head! Hopefully she'll still be my friend.

The babies from left to right are Keeley, Roman, Sylvie, Me, Lucy and Archie.

Labour Weekend

Daddy got to stay home and extra day with me in the weekend. We got to go shopping, visit the Taitua Aboretum, see one of Mummy's friends, and go to Granny and Grandad's house. I got to see chickens and ducks at the aboretum plus lots of trees! Granny was having fun teaching me to roll. I'm sure I'll have it mastered soon!!!

Hands free

Daddy has learnt that it's very difficult to get anything done when you're looking after a baby so he taken to putting me in the the front pack. I like doing chores with Daddy.

My cot and soft toys

Mummy and Daddy have bought me a flash new cot. At the moment I still sleep in my basinett in Mummy and Daddy's room but I get the feeling that Daddy would like to evict me. Mummy says I'm getting too long for my basinett and I'll need to start practising sleeping in my cot during the day. At the moment Mummy just lets me play in it with all my soft toys!

Eco Nappies

My Mummy has finally taken the plunge and bought me some cloth nappies. They seem very big compared to my disposables but all that padding makes them super comfortable. I'm not sure how they'll work in summer. I think I might get a very hot bottom!!!
Daddy says fat bottomed girls make the rocking world go round!

Coffee Group

The babies from left to right are Lucy, Me, Keeley, Malaika, Emily, Caleb and Sylvie.

On Tuesdays Mummy and I meet up with 6 other ladies and their babies. This is a photo of me and all my friends. I'm second from the left. I thought it was fun to kick my arms and legs and I nearly knocked Lucy out!

Alex's Christening

Today my cousin Alex got water poured on his head and some nice smelling oil put on him. Mummy is Alex's godmother so she got to hang out with him at the church while Daddy looked after me.

Afterwards, we got to go back to Aunty Sarah's and Uncle Shane's for a party. I wore my pink party dress. Unfortunately, Alex seemed to sleep through all of his party so I didn't manage to get a picture with him. He did look very cute in his white dress!

My cousins Jack and Cooper came to play as well. This is a picture of them in the bell tower at the church having fun.

Mummy's Birthday

My Mummy is getting old! Daddy and I bought her a yoga mat for her birthday to make sure she doesn't get too saggy!

Granny spoilt Mummy rotten and bought her lots of presents and even got her a cake with candles, which I thought was very intriguing.

To celebrate Mummy's birthday we walked around the lake with Granny, Aunty Sarah, Alex and Mackenize. We got to go to the playground and feed the ducks too!

Granny's Birthday

On Sunday we had a party at my house to celebrate Granny's Birthday! I got to wear my pretty pink party dress! Last time Mum put it on me I was only 10 days old and it covered my toes now it's up to my knees!

Granny's party was so much fun that I didn't want to sleep as I thought I might miss something. Jack, Cooper and Uncle Ali were running around madly balloon fighting. Despite the noise I wasn't scared!

I can talk and smile!

I've discovered it's so much fun to babble away to Mummy and Daddy. They certainly talk a lot to me so I've decided I'll talk lots back! Daddy thought I could say "Daddy" at about 3 weeks old. Mummy had to break it to him gently that while I was clever it was very unlikely I could say Daddy just yet. Sometimes it certainly sounds like I can say "Hello". I've developed a high pitched screeching noise for when I'm extra excited! Sometimes, I get a fright with what comes out of my little mouth!

Mummy and Daddy were also convinced I was smiling from day 1 but now I do proper big grins. I love to give Mummy smiles in the middle of the night when she's not supposed to be paying me any attention. She melts like butter every time!

Walking is fun!

Finally this week, Mummy and I have got to leave the house and go walking! It seems to have been raining forever!

I got to see Haley, Annabelle and Max this week. They're never seen me awake before. I thought Annabelle was lovely but I wasn't so keen on Max as he scratched my face. I jumped on him to pay him back.
