Star Turf Soccer

Last term we tried out Indoor Soccer with Zach. He thought it was awesome. There were 2 English guys who were showing the littlies soccer skills. Bella joined in with the 3.5-5 year olds and even got a goal in the game. Next term Zach is going to do Soccer while Bella is going to continue with gymnastics!

Jumping Beans

Last term I tried out Jumping Beans with Lucia! She was in baby heaven! She couldn't believe Mummy had finally taken her to an activity that she was allowed to participate in - she's usually just ends up watching her big brother and sister! 

We have signed up to do Jumping Beans this term with a little girl called Emma, who is a week younger than Lucia, and who will eventually start school with Lucia. We're planning they're going to be great friends!

Mackenzie is 9!

Bella and I went to see Mackenzie on her birthday. Wow she is 9! Bella thinks Mackenzie is the bees knees and can't wait for their playdate in the school holidays!

Bella's beautiful bird house!

Bella decided she'd like to make a bird house for the talking birds that she wants to get for her birthday. I decided this was a perfect project to do with Grandad.

Here are Bella and Grandad working hard on getting the bird house just right according to Bella's annotated drawing.

When we went to pick up Bella at afternoon tea time, Lucia was quite excited that she got to sit at the bench like a big kid!

Bella took her bird house to school on Monday and everyone was very impressed. Miss Ryan suggested that Grandad needed to come into school to help all the kids make a bird house.

Lucia and her felt pens!

Lucia got her very own felt pens for her birthday! She just loves drawing. However, she doesn't always stick to the rules that it should be on paper. These photos show how she decided to draw all over her feet! Luckily her pens are washable as she also likes to draw on the tables, chairs and floor.

I'm quite excited because she's definitely showing a left hand preference so she might turn out to be a left hander like her Mummy!

Bella and Abbey

Bella had Abbey over on Friday night for the afternoon and evening. Bella was very excited that Abbey got to stay for dinner. Here the girls are doing their Beado craft activity.

Making Bread

Matt has taken to making bread every weekend. He's now moved onto sourdough with our starter "Freddie". Zach and Bella and even Lucia like to help out with the kneading. I'm really good at helping with the eating!

Testing out Nanny and Grandad's new bed

Here Lucia is checking out Nanny and Grandad's fancy new bed. It goes up and down at both ends and it seems like it's a lot of fun!

Bella and Lucia get on so well. Bella recently wrote a story at school about playing with Lucia. Here Bella is reading Lucia a story.

Wrapped up like a snowman!

It's definitely winter now. We have to wrap up nice and warm when we go outside. Here is Lucia all ready to go out running with Daddy in the pram!

Potty Time!

Lucia just loves that she can sit on Zach's potty. We got our spare one out for her but she only likes Zach's potty - possibly because she know it will annoy him or because it's got a cute teddy on it. She hasn't managed to do anything on the potty but often goes there just after she has. It's a long process to get her clothes off plus her wrap and nappy. Nevertheless, she's super proud of herself!

The top bunk!

The kids, especially Lucia, just love being on the top bunk in Zach's room. Here they all are in their PJs looking super cute!

Our little biker chick!

Lucia just loves riding around on her bike. She can do the bike sign and the hat and helmet sign now. She also loves going with Daddy on his bike. She's never very impressed when he goes to work without her.
