Enjoying the pool!

Here is Lucia enjoying swimming for pegs in our little pool! It's amazing how much use and fun this pool provides!

Our bank!

The kids love climbing up our bank and exploring! It's a real jungle up there! We do need to do something to develop it. It's amazing the ideas we come up! Some days we're going to have a goat and some chickens, other days we're going to put in a pool, occasionally we're going to create an adventure playground and sometimes we think we should just plant it with fruit trees and create and orchard. I heard Bella selling her room the other day and she described it as having a "bank aspect". I suspect she's heard us talking about gully aspects.

XRACE!

Matt and Bella with our friends Steve and Keeley participated in the Hamilton XRACE! XRACE is a family team game made up of 10 different challenges. A team is made up of two people - one adult and one child. They had to run around the lake completing various activities such as lego building, memory, hacky sack, tug of war, dancing etc.

It was the first time the girls had done the race and it has only recently been opened up to 6 year olds. The girls did really well coming in within seconds of each other and completing the race in just under 50 minutes giving them a placing of 13th and 14th in the 7 year old age group out of 41 participants.

After the race we all went to the lake playground for ice creams! Yum!

Bella's tabloid sports

Lucia and I went along dressed in green to support Bella doing her tabloid sports at school. Bella is in the green house "Pukete" with her best friend Brianna. Lucia loved participating in all the activities. She was very useful in "rob the nest". She kept stealing tennis balls and bringing them back to Bella and Brianna!

Miffy and Morgan are back in town!!!

Lucia and I really enjoyed catching up with Miffy and Morgan at the lake. The girls haven't seen each other since they were babies! They're both so grown up now!

This was the beautiful sunrise we received in the morning. Unfortunately, it was a sign that rain was on it's way!

Lucia and Millie

Lucia has a teddy bear called Millie that she absolutely loves! Nanny gave it to her when she was born. She's named Millie (or Mil Mil - one in a million) as that is the other name we were considering calling Lucia when she was born. This year we're planning for Lucia to have a teddy bear cake for her birthday.
