My latest stories

I'm always providing a running commentary of what I'm up to.

If I get hurt or don't want to do something I love to use the line "I'm just a baby".

I love comparing items. I'm constantly saying "It's a little bit like..."Daddy's bike", "Daddy's helmet", "Zanzi", etc. Daddy was very impressed when I was looking through the Farmers catalogue and I saw Dan Carter in his underwear and I said "A little bit like Daddy". I soon fixed his ego as a few days later, I stroked Daddy's chest and said "a little like Zanzi's fur".

Just lately, I've decided I'd like to have Mummy all to myself so I say "Mummy no talk to Daddy, Mummy talk to Bella". I say this over and over until Mummy stops talking to Daddy and starts talking to me! I've also starting saying "That's my precious" when pointing at Mummy as she says that about me.

I'm also a very good nagger. I must take after my Mummy. I kept saying "my light a bit dirty, Daddy no clean it" and once he'd cleaned that I started on "kayak still dirty, car still dirty". Yes, I'm a clean freak! You'll be glad to know that the light, kayak and car have all been cleaned!

A tea party with Nanny!

After the hot air balloons, Nanny came over to my house to play. We had a tea party and made pretend birthday cakes.

Hot air balloons

On Thursday morning we got up really early to go to see the hot air balloons in the dark. While we queued for our free breakfast we got to see the balloons lighting up the sky. They looked amazing. When it got lighter we managed to find Aunty Sarah, Alex, Mackenzie and Nanny.

Shoe shopping with Vinnie

Vinne and I have already started shopping together. The other day we tried on matching gumboots. They were a little difficult to walk in so we decided we'd keep looking but we had fun in the process.

My very own laptop

I love computers. I send Nanny and Daddy emails and I pretend to email Aunty Sarah. Now when Mummy is tapping on her computer I can too as Nanny brought me my very own one. Thanks Nanny!

Drying Zanzi

It seems to have been raining lots lately so when Zanzi comes inside in the morning he's all wet. Before Mummy lets me cuddle him, I delight in drying him. Lucky Zanzi such a tolerate pussy cat!

Big Girl PJs

Now I'm toilet trained Mummy has had to accept that I can no longer wear onesies or one piece PJs. However, I still like to pretend I'm a baby, especially after bath time when I'm all wrapped up in a towel. Here's a picture of me looking so grownup in my big girl PJs. I can even brush my own teeth now.

Bubby Lulu and Me!

Bubby Lulu is my favourite toy at the moment. She goes everywhere with me, except in my bed as she gets quite dirty on all our adventures. I love giving her a bath at night.

I've got this potty sussed!

Yay it seems I'm toilet trained (cross fingers). I can even use the potty at Nanny's house and at playcentre. I don't have much warning that a wee is coming but as long as we're in the vicinity of a potty and Mummy is around to help me get my pants down, I'm sorted.

Our Bowentown Holiday Part 4 - Walking and Cycling

Mummy, Daddy and I did lots of walking and cycling on our holiday. I biked to the playground at least once a day. Daddy took me cycling down the beach to collect shells and we walked to nearby beaches and bays. Sometimes we used Daddy as a pack horse. I loved riding on his shoulders.

Our Bowentown Holiday - Part 3 - the playground

Mummy and I selected our holiday location because I was free and it had a great playground. While we were impressed with the playground, Mummy and I were shocked to find that they didn't have a swing, which is my favourite thing in the world. Luckily we found another playground nearby so I didn't have to go without a swing all week! I loved bouncing on the trampoline and I can now officially bounce with 2 feet! Yay!

At the playground I started initiating my first convesations with other children. For example, "slide a bit dirty boy" and "might rain boy". I also started to say Hello to other campers.

Our Bowentown Holiday - Part 2 - the caravan

I loved staying in Grandad's caravan. I had my own room in the awning and I got to have my bath in a big green tub outside. I was always keen to go the communal kitchen at dinnertime so I could people watch!

The other exciting news it that because the potty was so nearby I decided that I'd do all my number twos in the potty! Yay for me!

Our Bowentown Holiday - Part 1 - the beach!

Last Sunday, Mummy, Daddy, me and far too many of my toys went on holiday to Bowentown, near Waihi. We had a lovely time relaxing and playing at the beach. I loved making pretend cakes in the sand, decorating them and singing Happy Birthday. I also loved running and jumping in the waves. We got to go kayaking and snorkelling too and get up early and watch the sunrise. Despite Daddy letting Mummy and I choose the location for our holiday, he thought it was fabulous and is already planning another trip back!

Vinnie's Birthday

On Saturday, my cousin Vinnie turned 2! Her Mummy made her a fabulous doll cake. I had so much fun swimming in the pool, jumping on the trampoline, and playing on the slide and swing. We even got to eat icecream sundaes!

I gave Vinne a blue Bubby Lulu doll as I love my Bubby Lulu doll so much that I was sure she'd have fun taking her bath doll everywhere too!

Keeley's fantastic playground!

On Friday we had coffee group at Keeley's house. She has the most amazing playground. I'm hoping that Mummy and Daddy (with the help of Grandad) will build me something for my lawn or at least put up a swing for me! We also got to feed the cows, pigs and chickens.

Yellow playdough!

The other night Daddy was out waterskiing so Mummy and I decided to make playdough. I love using the playdough at playcentre and making cakes so Mummy decided this would be a fun activity to do at home with my new kitchen.

Nicky is back from Hong Kong!

Yay, Nicky came to visit us! She was back from Hong Kong for 2 weeks. She spoiled me with a new book about hugs! Dave and Bubby Lilah came over to see her too!

I got to read stories with Nicky and show her how I can count to 10! She tied a pretty ribbon in my hair! Hopefully, she'll be back to visit us in November!
