Zach's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Zach's Birthday on the 17th of December this year! We had a picnic in the park with bubbles, dancing pass the parcel and a fire engine piñata that the kids help make. After that we went to the fire station where the kids got to squirt the hoses and go for a ride in the fire engine even with the siren going. Some of the kids (all of mine) ended up saturated from getting squirted by the fire hoses.

To match the theme and Zach's love of anything to do with fires he had a fire engine cake. Structurally it wasn't too bad but my gosh fire engines have a lot of detail. It took a very long time to complete but I was very happy with the result. He thought was really cool!

Trees at the Meteor!

We finally made it to Trees at the Meteor where people enter all types of creative Christmas trees. We got this awkward family photo taken. It does pretty well to cover Lucia's poor grazed face!

Go the All Blacks!!!!

Endeavour School had an ALL BLACK out where all the students wore black to support the All Blacks in the semi finals against South Africa in the Rugby World Cup. Bella is not a fan of black so we had to do an emergency run to Mackenzie's house for an outfit! Here she is all dressed up! There are some pictures of her with her friends Brianna and Maia at school in their black outfits too!

Bella's science experiment!

Bella was very excited to show us how if you add enough salt to a glass of water you can make an egg float. This made Daddy very excited to show Bella a picture of him in the Dead Sea floating just like an egg!

The Terrible Twins!

Zach and Lucia are very cute together but they get up to all sorts of mischief! Lucia thinks Zach is the bees knees and Zach is a complete drama queen so we hope that it doesn't rub off on Lucia who at this stage is pretty easy going! Here they are tearing around the house on the bike together!

Stacking the kids!

Our bath is obviously getting too small for 3 kids so they've decided  that they need to sit on top each other to fit in!

My Bookworms!

Bella continues to be a bookworm reading an amazing amount of chapter books each week. Luckily we have 4 library cards so we can continue to supply her habit! She's currently making her way through the EJ12 series!

She's also teaching Lucia to be a bookworm. Here the girls are snuggled up in bed reading their books. It's so cute listening to Lucia saying "table", "chair" etc. as she looks at the pictures in her words book. It's all part of Bella's master plan to make Lucia into a mini Bel Bel!

Lucia the daredevil

Lucia continues to be a daredevil. Here she is climbing up on the blackboard to reach the chalk on top. She likes to copy Bella and Zach climbing up the bunks and bannister and onto window ledges.

Bella's Ballet Show - The Tale of Tails

Bella had her first ballet show as a school girl at Valerie Lissette in the weekend. We spent a whole week at Founders Theatre until very late waiting waiting waiting!

Bella was a pink mouse in a pretty pink Tutu! Her friend Zoe from school is also in her ballet class. All the pink mice got a little high on sugar and combined with tiredness went completely crazy so we got some interesting photos of very hyperactive children!!!

Bella looked great on stage and even remember to do some smiling! Her stage appearance was over all too quickly!!!
