My magic chair!

I turned into a genie today. Daddy explained that if I crossed my arms and legs while sitting on one of the dining room chairs, it would turn into a magic chair. I flew around the dining room until I wore Daddy out!

A good day in my book!

Today I got to go to three playgrounds and have a tea party in my paddling pool. My day got even better as Nanny popped by for a cuddle too.

Lollipops!

Today Annabelle celebrated her 4th Birthday at Lollipops. Wow, what a playground!

Annabelle's Mummy made her the most delicious chocolate cake in the shape of a princess castle.

Latest tricks

I've got lots of new tricks at the moment. I can easily count to 10 without any prompting! I know the days of the week. I can trick people that I can read as I've memorised some of my favourite books. I can put on my own undies and I can take off my shoes! I'm so grown up!

I love playcentre

I absolutely love playcentre. I wish we could go everyday. There's so much to do that I happily play without Mummy. The other morning Mummy hardly saw me for the first hour as she was helping the big kids build a volcano in the sandpit.

Hello River

It's been a while since we visited our beach. On Sunday it was so hot that I agreed to swap the playground for the river.

Mike's 30th Birthday

On Saturday night Mummy, Daddy, Bubby Lulu and I went to Mike's 30th Birthday. Mike used to work with my Daddy and his daughters Sophie, Caitlin, and Ella go to playcentre with me.

I had lots fun in the playhouse and on the swing and slide. Megan made a fantastic chocolate cake which I thought was delicious!

I'm just like Daddy!

When I was at Nanny's house the other day, I found a pretend coke bottle that I decided looked very like Daddy's beer bottle.

Haley where have you been?

On Friday, we finally got to catch up with Haley, Annabelle and Max. Despite living less than an hour from each other we haven't caught up in months! Annabelle is nearly 4 and Max is already toilet trained! Boy do they grow up quick.

Our road trip to Miranda

Yesterday Nanny, Mummy and I went on a road trip to Miranda. We were scoping it out for Grandad's 65th birthday which we're celebrating in June. It will be the first time I'll experience all the family together. I expect it's going to be very loud but lots of fun!

We got to collect shells, check out different playgrounds and have a picnic in the sun.

Wooly hats in any weather!

I love hats and despite it being 26 degrees the other evening, I insisted on wearing my purple wooly hat walking while Mummy and Daddy wore their sunhats!

Negotiation skills

So it seems I'm already a very good negotiator. I decided at 17 months that day sleeps were a bit overated. However, I sometimes agree to one if Mummy says we can go to the playground when Daddy gets home. Daddy was teaching me how to walk on the hands at the playground the other day.

Toy Library

Nanny and Grandad bought me a subscription to the toy library for part of my Christmas present and I got to try it out for the first time the other day. I've borrowed a really cool boat plus lots of other toys to clutter up the house! Mummy thinks it's great as it keeps me occupied and the clutter doesn't have to stay!

Mackenzie's Wheelathon

Last Thursday we went to watch Mackenzie's Wheelathon. She was fantastic! She didn't stop riding until the teachers made them stop! She just kept going and going! I can't wait until I'm big enough to do Wheelathons!

Clever Bubby Lilah

Bubby Lilah came to play today. She's only 6.5 months old but can already crawl! I did some crawling with her and we played with my toys together. She really liked me and my pussy cat so we got to see some super big smiles!

18 months today!

Today I'm 18 months old so I'm no longer a baby! I certainly impress strangers with my talking and counting.

I continually tell stories such as "Daddy forgot Money" when he was going to buy the kiwifruit (or if the truth be known fish and chips) and "where is Daddy?, Daddy earning the money so we can play".

I can reach the door handles now so I can go anywhere in the house even the rooms Mummy doesn't want me too!

It's quite difficult to measure me but Mummy and Daddy think I'm about 83cm tall which means I will be at least 166cm when I'm fully grown. Mummy weighed me on the vet scales and I was 9.6kg. I'm following a consistent trend of being tall (between the 50th and 85th percentile) and being thin (between the 15th and 50th percentile).

Playcentre is back!

Mummy and I have officially joined the Riverdowns Playcentre! Yetti gets to come too. It's a 10 minute walk from our house so it's very convenient. We go on Monday and Wednesday mornings! I especially love the swings and playing outside!

The Blue Lake - The Polynesian Spa

Aunty Sarah recommended we go to the Polynesian Spa. After Mummy tried on nearly every pair of togs in the store, we got to go swimming! I loved being able to walk by myself in the pool and using the drinking fountain. Daddy even took me down the water slide!

The Blue Lake - Playground

I spent most of my holiday requesting to go to the playground! I convinced all my toys to ask Mummy and Daddy too! Bubby Lulu seemed to want to go the most but Arnold and Yetti got to go on the swing (my absolute favourite thing), slide and the trampoline (my second favourite thing) lots too!

The Blue Lake - Boating on Lake Tarawera

Mummy, Daddy and I took a water taxi across to the hot water beach on Lake Tarawera and then got to soak in a hot water stream! I was asleep on the way over but I loved driving the boat on the way back!

The Blue Lake - The Luge

Mummy and Daddy took me for a fun adventure on the gondola, luge and chairlift. When I was asked who was the better driver I answered "Mummy" and when I was asked who went the fastest I answered "Daddy". Daddy tried out all the luge tracks while Mummy and I stuck to the scenic one which was still pretty fast!

The Blue Lake - Swimming and Biking

We spent a lot of time swimming in the lake and going biking. We didn't do a lot of walking because of Daddy's ankle! We biked in the Redwood Forrest and down to the Green Lake as well as using our bikes to get to the best beach on the the Blue Lake.

The Blue Lake - Caravaning!

We returned to the Blue Lake for our yearly visit and as usual we ended up extending our stay! Mummy and Daddy were so impressed how well I slept in the caravan that they're thinking of downsizing significantly and becoming trailer trash!

Daddy had entered himself in a sprint triathlon that Lance Armstrong was supposed to be doing. However, once he heard Daddy had entered he pulled out! He had no need to be scared though as Daddy sprained his ankle on the run and didn't finish! Poor Daddy!
