Here's a picture of Bella and Zach in their PJs after bath time!

My baby is 10 months old!

Can you believe it Zach is 10 months old! At 9 months and 1 week he started taking his first steps. He used to do 4 or 5 steps so we were sure he'd be walking at 9 months but he's suddenly developed common sense and has decided that crawling is much safer!

This means we may be over a very labour intensive time where I couldn't leave him for a second. Now he's stable on his feet and not such a crazy baby life has got a bit easier!

The good news is I weighed him and he's now up to the 25th% percentile for his weight so that's back to normal!

Angelina Ballerina

On Saturday Bella went to the Angelina Ballerina Ballet with Nanny. Mackenzie and Aunty Sarah were performing! She had a fabulous time and was apparently very well behaved for the full 2.5 hours!

 

 

Daddy's new Smartphone

Matt bought himself a new smartphone. It's apparently waterproof for 30 minutes so he gave it to the kids to play with in the bath. It's still working so that's good news. His theory was it was best to test it out throughly while it's still under warranty!

Both the kids love Daddy's new smartphone. Zach has a favourite baby game which allows him to make lots of noises and Bella loves doing puzzles!

Labour Day

On Monday we went to the Lake to catch up with Miffy and see the new little kids playground. We discovered that Zach and Miffy's heads appear to be a very similar size!

Zachy Day!

We've decided we're going to celebrate Zach's birthday a month early every year so his birthday doesn't get lost in the Christmas. We've started the party preparations for his teddy bears' picnic!

Excite

On Sunday is was so rainy that we decided the only option was to find a fun inside activity. We decided to go to Excite at the Waikato Museum. Bella loved the slap wall where you had to hit the lights when they came up and the grain factory. The kids also enjoyed the knitted garden outside. Bella wanted to go back again the next day!

Bella's new trick!

Bella has decided that it's funny to go down the slide backwards on her bottom. It's a trick she learned from some other kids at the playground!

Snuggle Time

Zach is quite a snuggler these days! Matt said to the other day that Zach wasn't a snuggly baby and I was really surprised. Matt thought he only liked cuddling his teddy bears. Matt started giving  Zach cuddles and now he gets lots of cuddles back in return. A win win situation and two very happy boys!

Gorgeous Reid

Emma bought her baby Reid over to visit. He seemed like such a lovely baby and very handsome too! Our catch up was too short so we'll have to meet up again soon!

Relaxing sandpit time

We all love the new sandpit. It keeps the kids occupied and for once Zach stays in one place.

Skateboarders

Our street has been overtaken by skateboarders. They're quite good entertainment value so we don't mind too much. Bella watches them out the window or on the balcony for hours. She keeps saying "what's your name?" They occassionally respond to her and give her smiles and waves.

Sandpit fun Connor and Jacob

Zach invited Connor and Jacob over to play in his sandpit. They were a little bit hesistant at first but soon they were eating the sand too much to their Mummy's horror! Gosh imagine having triplets!!!

Bella the hairdresser

Bella loves washing and styling Zach's hair! He's a little punk rocker!

Nanny and the kids

Coffee Group

Last Thursday we had coffee group at our house. Bella enjoyed showing her friends Emily and Sylvie her favourite game - the shopping game.

Zach and Louie

Zach has a new teddy bear called Louie. He can say "Bear". He just loves teddy bears. He screeches with delight and cuddles them lots and lots.

His language is really starting to come along now. He says "bye or bobbye" when waving and he can say "more" when signing and seems to repeat (probably by fluke) some words we say to him.

Zach leaves home!

Zach has taken to dragging Bella's kindy bag to the top of the stairs and trying to escape! It looks like he wants to leave home already! He should really take a few more supplies than just pink clothes!

Slumber Party at Kindy

Bella got to wear her PJs to Kindy on Friday. She thought it was so great that she wanted to wear them on Monday too. She's hanging out for the next PJ day!

More sand pit fun!

Bella and Zach have been spending lots of time in their new sand pit. We've been enjoying the summery weather!

Boy Toys

Zach loves hammers! Bella never showed much interest in them but it's lucky we kept them as Zach thinks they're awesome. There is definitely a difference between the toys boys like and the toys girls like. Zach also thinks the vacuum cleaner is awesome. I can't wait until he's old enough to use it!

Naked Baby!

Zach loves to wriggle and squirm when I change his nappy. He always tries to run away from me! He looks so cute in his birthday suit!

Mummy's Birthday!

I'm now officially in my mid 30's. Arrggg! I feel a lot older as I've hurt my back so I spent my birthday hobbling around!

Bella and Matt made me a delicious face cake and some yummy waffles! We got to go for a nice walk between the showers of rain.

Zach got his front two teeth which means he is no longer a vampire! Hooray! He now has 6 teeth!

 

Nanny's Birthday

On Saturday we went out to Te Awamutu to celebrate Nanny's 66th Birthday! We made her a yummy flower cake complete with 2 packets of Jelly Beans! The kids thought it was awesome!

We had takeaways for dinner and Bella, Zach and Vinnie enjoyed their swim in the big bath! We took Meg with us and she was great as at entertaining the kids!
