Meeting Cousin Ben

When Cousin Ben was 1 day old we drove up to Auckland to visit him. He is the cutest little boy. Lucia looked quite chunky next to him! This was Uncle Ali and Aunty Lee's first time to meet Lucia too. She is 2 weeks and 2 days older than Ben.

After visiting the hospital we took the kids to a playground to burn off some energy before driving home again. Lucia was an excellent baby. You forget how easy they are when they're small compared to when they're 2!

Lucia at home

We're all loving having a little baby in the house! She's very well behaved even though she does like to party between and 1 and 3am. Zach has already asked Daddy if he can have a baby brother. Bella has decided she's happy to give up overseas holiday so she can have another baby.

Bella spends lots of time with Lucia on her playmat. Zach isn't really too interested in her although he occasionally decides he'd like to read her a book and today at lunch he wanted her to watch him eat his orange. Strange!

Lucia's newborn photoshoot

On Easter Monday morning we had Lucia's newborn photoshoot. The kids were very well behaved. Hopefully we captured some great images of our gorgeous girl! Watch this space!

Bella the Giraffe

Bella had to dress up as her favourite animal for Kindy today. I thought I could get away with her just putting on her bunny ears but she was determined to go as a giraffe!

Last night we had to quickly make a giraffe outfit which turned out rather well given our limited time and resources. She was very proud of her costume and she said that her Kindy teachers thought her outfit was the best as it was the only home made one.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Sunday Easter Bunny visited our house. The kids loved hunting for eggs in the garden. They were so keen to find more that they wanted to spend the day gardening but unfortunately it was a bit wet. We could have done with the slave labour.

Gym Monkeys

This term we have gone back to family gym. We do gym in the winter and swimming in the summer. Family gym is great because we can all participate except Lucia who sleeps in her pram.

Alex and Mackenzie

Alex and Mackenzie came to visit Lucia when she was 10 days old. Mackenzie made her a lovely card telling her how cute she was. Mackenzie is very excited that she has a new girl cousin!

Bella takes Lucia for news!

Bella took Lucia into Kindy for news when she was a week old. There was a storm that day so it was very windy and rainy! I learnt that trying to unload and load 3 kids in the rain is not much fun!

Bella loved showing off her little sister. Someone asked why she wanted to bring her for news and she said "because I love her!" How sweet. The kindy kids thought she was pretty cool!

Lucia - 1 week old

Lucia is one week old having her first weigh in with the midwife. As expected she'd grown lots!

Meeting the family!

Bella and Zach were very excited to meet their new little sister! They had such big grins on their faces when they came to visit! Apparently, they were running and dancing around the house madly before coming to meet her. Nanny and Grandad thought she looked beautiful from every angle!
