Lucia the artist!

Here is Lucia doing some painting. We cut the end of an old handee towel roll to make a pattern that looked like fireworks! We thought the result was pretty cool!

Daddy's yummy pizzas!

Daddy has discovered that his sourdough starter can also make yummy pizza bases. We've all enjoyed choosing the different toppings to put on our pizza even if in the case of Zach you only pick yellow ingredients (corn, pineapple, and cheese).

Zach's Homework!

Zach is not very keen on homework especially given that Bella doesn't get any anymore. However, the other day he managed to complete his repeating patterns using duplo. I didn't have to help him at all! It had the added benefit that once he'd run out of red, orange and yellow blocks he could turn his work into a fire station!

Jumping Beans Fun!

Zach and Lucia just love when Peter spins them around on all the fun equipment at jumping beans! As soon as they stop they start chanting "more more" or "again"!

Visiting Nanny and Grandad's house!

We've discovered that it's easy and a lot cheap to get our car serviced in Ohaupo near Nanny and Grandad's house. This means we have a free taxi to pick his up and take us home to be spoilt! Lucia and Zach had lots of fun playing especially chasing butterflies together!

Bella's Fairy House

We helped Bella make a really special fairy house in our garden under the puka trees. We used bamboo stakes to create a round frame which we threaded astelia leaves through to make the walls. We tied puka leaves to together to make a roof. We lined the floor with hay and put in some beds and tables and chairs which were really seashells we'd gathered from the beach and we made a path with little white stones.

We were pretty excited to see the next morning that there was glitter everywhere and the fairies had really visited. We also noticed that they'd moved the furniture around over the coming days. Unfortunately we haven't caught a glimpse of them in real life - we think they must be scared of humans!

Seeing the Macaskills

It was so nice to catch up with the Macaskill family as always! We enjoyed some yummy waffles. The kids had fun playing together and thought that Bella's flying fairy was pretty cool!

Raglan Beach

Daddy just loves to visit Raglan beach especially because we get a mini bush walk on the way! The water was really warm and the kids all enjoyed a dip in the sea! I made it into my knees! We found a few shells and sticks for Bella's fairy house and even saw a gecko on the way back to the car.
