Testing out our new bed!

Bella and Zach thought they'd test out our new bed on Saturday. It's hard to see it in the photos but it's very fancy and super comfortable. We've now just got to convince Matt that he wants to spend a horrendous amount on getting a matching tallboy! He's just had a promotion at work so when bonus time comes around I might be able to get him to agree!!!

My little cave man!

Zach wasn't showing much interest in his dinner until Matt decided he could have a whole chicken leg! At the end of dinner, we found a whole lot of bones in his mouth that he'd crunched up!

Pyjama day!

On Friday it was Pyjama day at Kindy. Bella scootered there wearing her PJs and enjoyed movies and popcorn and drawing pictures of her PJs. It's school holidays at the moment so they do a holiday programme of themed days at Kindy.

The last of the Easter Eggs

We're finally through all our Easter Eggs -  Bella and Zach wanted to a picture of Zach's chocolate bunny before they gobbled it down.

Eloise MaCaskil

Eloise Theodora was born on the 15 April 2013. We got see her on Anzac Day when she was 10 days old and oh so lovely! She is just beautiful. She looks a lot like her older sister Lilah pictured below.

Michelle and Dave came over with their two gorgeous daughters for Waffles. Bella and Lilah played so well together and Eloise just slept. It was a lovely relaxing morning! We're looking forward to lots more snuggles with Baby Ellie!

What drought?

We were supposed to be having a drought but April has been very wet! It's still pretty warm which means we've had the longest summer ever but I think Autumn is definitely setting in! The rain didn't stop the kids going for walk with Daddy. They just love being outside!

Max's 4th Birthday

On Sunday we went to Max's 4th Birthday in Te Awamutu! There were 20 kids jumping around on sugar! It was very busy but lots of fun!

The bouncy castle was huge! Zach was in heaven! When we told him we were going to a party he started saying "lollipop, lollipop" and lucky for him he got one for playing statues.

Bella absolutely loved all the party food! She was one of the 4 winners for pin the tail on the donkey. She also loved her goody bag! I was very impressed that Bella wrote on Max's card "Happy Birthday Max, Love Bella + Zach" and then she added lots of kisses and loves.

After the party we went to Nanny and Grandad's for a yummy roast beef dinner!

My cute baby is growing up!

My little boy is growing up so quick! He talks really well now. He mimics everything you say! He started joining two words together just before he turned 13 months! So now he makes small sentences. With his signing and words we always know what he wants! He's even started singing - his favourites are the wheels on the bus go round and round and row row row your boat as well as Happy Birthday.

Since he was 12 months old he's been telling us when he needs a nappy change but so far he hasn't shown any interest in using the potty! At 15 months he finally started sleeping through the night! Hooray! Long may it last!

Claudelands Playground

We caught up with Aunty Jo, Uncle Murray and Megan at Claudelands Playground. Sarah, Shane, Alex and Mackenzie came too!

Posh Spice

The first photo of Zach dressed in Michelle's fascinator and Bella's sunglasses reminds me of Posh Spice. He's got his sexy pout sorted.

However, he doesn't look very impressed and he really was loving it so I had to include one of him clapping! It seems he might take after Uncle Geoff in that he loves dressing up! Bring on the high heels next!

Bella's First Day at Kids Club 2!

Bella had an awesome first day at Kids Club 2! The teachers have been so impressed how well she's settled in. She's loving having kids that are older so that she can have proper conversations. They also do lots of mat time which is Bella's favourite and there a bigger better playground and lots of fun activities!

Before I broke my leg, Bella and I were enjoying walking/scootering to Kindy but now Daddy has to drop her off and pick her up until I can drive again!

Daddy's work car

Bella has always been obsessed by Daddy's work cars but it seems it's genetic as Zach loves them too! Matt went to Hawera in the last week of March so he bought home a white branded Toyota Prius. The kids loved getting their seat belts on and pretending to do journeys to places. The neighbours must have thought we were all crazy with the whole family sitting in a stationery car in the driveway!

Makeup fun with Lilah!

Bella and Lilah had lots of fun the other day putting makeup all over their pretty faces! They play so well together! It's really cute to watch!

 

 

Baxter

Bella and Zach just love Baxter! It's great that we can have access to a dog without having to pickup it's poo! Bella has wrapped up a tennis ball and made Baxter a card - she even wrote his name when I told her what letters to use. Her writing is getting very good!

Uncle Ali is getting old!

After Sonya and Toby's wedding we went to visit Uncle Ali and Aunty Lee for lunch. It was Uncle Ali's birthday the previous day so we took him some pineapple lumps and presents from Granny and Grandad!

They don't have many toys at their house. Luckily they had borrowed the cat from next door. Bella and Zach also enjoyed playing with Uncle Ali's new golf trundler.

 

 

Jumping Beans

Zach has loved having his very own activity! Mind you Bella loves Zach's activity too and often comes along if she's not at Kindy or Nanny's house. Lately, even Nanny and Vinnie have been coming along so we've been getting very good value out of one set of fees!

I think Jumping Beans has encouraged Zach to climb even more when he's at home which is a little frightening for me! He can climb into the bath and his cot now! Let's hope he doesn't work out how to climb out!

 

 

Broken Leg

My broken leg has meant that Nanny and Vinnie have been coming to visit us on Wednesdays rather than going to Te Awamutu. It's been fun hanging out with Vinnie. She's such a character - she's always got a story - last week her Dad was getting a fire engine for his new car! We've been going to Jumping Beans and the library playgroup to keep them entertained.

Vinnie's Mummy made me the lovely cupcakes below. We've been spoilt by Nanny and our friends with food deliveries.

 

Miss Ava Mary Morris

Ava was up from Wellington for Sonya's wedding! She came over for a play with Bella. She bought lollipops which was very nice but now Zach has discovered them. Dam!

Mini Olympics

Bella was in the Pumped Pink team for the Mini Olympics! She loved wearing her full pink attire including sunglasses, hair tie and shoes in pink! Her team included her friends Holly and Maddison who also love pink!

They did lots of fun activities including: balloon waddling, the egg and spoon race, an obstacle course, long jump, and water carrying. They all got medals and certificates at the end for participating. Alex, Nanny, Zach and I all went to watch the fun activities.

Balloons!

On Sunday morning we went to the balloons! It was a big effort my broken leg. I hobbled along with my crutches while Matt ran ahead with the kids to line up for a tethered balloon ride. Bella got to have her first balloon ride. Matt and I were very jealous!
