I love my Helian Coo

I have a Helian Coo (also know as a highland cow) called Yetti. He's so furry and fluffy and I love to give him cuddles. Mummy's friend Ange sent him all the way from Edinburgh. I have lots of soft toys but he's the one I picked out as my favourite. I love him so much that Mummy and Daddy have had to order another one from the UK just in case!

I'm a little chatterbox

So my favourtie saying is "ta ba da" and then I giggle. I can say lots of words now. I don't always know what they mean but I mimic Mummy. I can say: cat, car, help, arm, head, up, down, yes, no, dad, mum and much more. When Granny was looking after me when I was 9 months old she was convinced I was saying "Mum, Dad, Car" and then waving as Mum and Dad had gone out in the car without me. I certainly like to chatter away all day.

Standing up is easy!

Guess what I can stand up all by myself. I can stand without holding on to anything for about a minute or maybe longer. I learnt this new trick in the bath with Daddy just before I turned 11 months.

I love walking with my trolley and I can even turn corners and go backwards now. I crash my way around the lounge bumping into all the furniture.

I can also go backwards down the stairs now. Everyone seems to think I'll be walking by myself by the time I turn 1.

My latest adventures

Mummy hasn't been taking as many photos lately to document all my adventures. I went to try out a playgroup and I'll hopefully be starting that next term. My cousin Vinnie and I are also going to be going to crawler beans which is like gymnastics and music combined. Mummy and I went to aqua play gym again at the Te Rapa pools. I absolutely love the water.

My new favourite game

I love to climb in and out of my toy box. It doesn't matter if it's full or empty I just climb on in. I think I'm pretty clever so I make sure I clap my hands when I'm made it in. I also like to play this game with boxes and the peg basket!

Uncle Ali comes to visit!

Uncle Ali came down from Auckland in the weekend. He hasn't seen me since the beginning of April! He says he'll come and visit again for my birthday. We went out to Granny and Grandad's to see him. Mummy, Daddy, Grandad, and Uncle Ali played tennis while I went for a sleep. I had fun playing with all the new toys. I even dressed myself up with a slinky!

I can walk with a trolley

So the other day Daddy showed Mummy that I can actually walk by myself with the trolley. I've been able to do for at least a month. Mummy is in denial though as she wants me to stay a little baby.
