Bubble Fun!

The bath seems to be getting more and more bubbles every night!

While Daddy is away the Fairies will play!

Matt went to a multisport event in the weekend - another name for a boys weekend away! While Daddy was out and about Zach was enjoying being very girly! He loved dressing up as a fairy and dancing around with his wand. He also has taken a special liking to Bella's gold sparkly shoes. He does also like to wear shirts like Daddy. He just likes to dress up really!

We were lucky that Nanny came and kept us company on Sunday. She banned the photos but Bella and her got up to some excellent fairy dancing!

Bella's 4th Birthday at Kindy

Bella enjoyed being the centre of attention at Kindy. She got to pick a song (Mrs Bunny) and a story (Mr Possum). While sitting on the birthday chair all the kids sung her Happy Birthday and gave her 4 small fairy claps. She also got to make her big birthday hat with her friends Hope and Serena. At the gate she handed out pink cupcakes with lots of sprinkles to her friends with her favourite teacher Maria.

The Pet Show

In the weekend we visited the pet show. As usual it was completely manic! There were loads of dogs. Bella was particularly happy because she got a fancy heart shaped balloon with a poodle on top.

Bella's 4th Birthday Party

Bella had a fabulous birthday party. She got lots of lovely gifts from  her friends. They certainly know what she likes!

We held the "Owlympics" which involved owl themed sporting challenges! The kids made pretty owl masks with lots of gems when they arrived. We then enjoyed lots of yummy food before starting on the Owlympics challenges. We started with toss the parcel, then the sack race, then the egg and spoon race with optional balloon waddle. We then moved on to owl statues and owl target practice with water balloons! The winners were awarded gold medals made of chocolate coins which they seemed to really like. We finally got to cut the cake and then the kids got to take home their loot bags.
 
My biggest challenge was trying to get the 3D owl cake to stay together and upright! Thank goodness with a lot of luck it was a success.

Bella's 4th Birthday morning!

We had a very busy morning on Bella's birthday as she was having her party at 10.30am. She got to open a few presents in the morning including a couple of books, a puzzle and some white chocolate which she was very happy about. Her main present was her bike which she got after all her party fun. While Bella was waiting for her friends to arrive for her party she made a little duplo party of her own.

 

Bella's Birthday Cake

After a lot of internet research, some advice from keen bakers and about 6 hours of icing, I created Bella a pretty cool 3d owl cake for her birthday! I was little bit worried his eyes and feathers would fall off but it all held together well and received great comments. Phew! Bella loved it too which was the most important thing.
