Lunch at Punnet

On Saturday we went to the Tamahere Markets and then met the Fielders for lunch. The little Fielder boys spent most of the lunch sleeping in the car but the two Belle's had fun playing. We finally got to see their fancy new car - a Dodge Journey. The exciting news is we've discovered our trips to Rarotonga overlap in June so we'll be able to meet up! Yippee!

Culture day at Kindy

On Friday Bella had culture day at Kindy. She enjoyed a shared lunch with her friends. It seems the kiwi culture is "meat, meat, meat" - there were lots of sausages, cheerios, sausage rolls and of course tomato sauce!

Pretty Face painting

Bella had her face painted at Kindy. She hasn't wanted to have her face painted for at least year now. The only problem is her skin reacted with the paint just before our family photoshoot! Argggg!

The Lake

On Tuesday we met Monique, Kate, Michelle and Nicky down at the Lake. Nicky was back from Hong Kong for a conference. Hopefully she'll be back for good soon.

The River

Despite the drought there's still plenty of water in the Waikato River. The kids just love splashing around in the water.

Charlie the Cat

Charlie the Cat has lived on our street since we moved him. He makes a great surrogate cat. His real name is apparently "Gus" but he seems to respond to Charlie as we've been calling him that for almost 4 years now.

Charlie loves to sit out the back of our house near the compost bin and enjoy the afternoon sun! He's nice and friendly and Zach and Bella love him. They'd love their own cat but we're still getting up the courage to get another one! Our poor furniture is scared to death!

Sandpit fun!

Zach and Bella have had so much fun in the sand pit this Summer. I think that was $20 well spent!
