We have a sand pit!

We were planning to get Zach a sand pit for his birthday but he just couldn't wait!

His favourite thing is to climb into the pots on the deck and play with the dirt and pull out the plants when Matt's not looking. Matt didn't like see his tomatoes being abused so we caved in and filled up the sand pit.

Both Bella and Zach think that it's great. We may have to graduate to a bigger one next year!

Daddy's Half Marathon

Matt did the Hamilton half marathon on Sunday. He managed to beat his expected time by 1 second and come in at 1 hour, 29 minutes and 59 seconds.

Bella, Zach and I waited for him to come past the playground. You can see Bella in the background of the photo running after Daddy.

Dinner with Lilah

On Saturday night we took Lilah and her Mummy and Daddy out to Don Buri Ya! Then we went back to Lilah's house for some yummy dessert. Bella can't believe Lilah gets a pink hundred and thousands biscuit before bed! She was in shock when Lilah gave her a biscuit and couldn't believe she was allowed to eat it! I think she'll keep telling us about it for the next couple of months!

Yay the Twins!

Now we're all better we finally got to see the twins - Connor and Jacob! They're huge! They're 1.5 months younger  than Zach but they're at least a kilogram heavier.

We also got to see Moochie and Baxter. Zach was particularly excited by Baxter and said something that sounded a lot like "dog or doggie" and clapped his hands. Poor Moochie lost a bit of fur in the patting process.

The twins both love Bella! Bella said to me last night "Mummy when Zach and I get bigger, he could be my husband". I had to explain to her that she wasn't allowed to marry Zach as he was her brother but she seemed quite keen on marrying one of the twins. However, Big Boy Max got an "oh yeah" and Evan at Kindy got a dreamy "yes". Lucky she's still got a few years to decide!!!

 

Fun at Aunty Sarah's

Bella was desperate to see Alex and Mackenzie today. They're been down in Invercargill on holiday! Bella thought Mackenzie was very lucky to have toys in her room. We hardly let her have anything in her room or else she'd just play all night!

Alex used to be Zach's biggest fan but has decided he no longer likes babies as they take your toys! Hopefully, Zach will win him round again with his gummy smile!

 

Zach's First Drawing

Zach has decided he loves pens. After stealing my pen continuously, I finally buckled and let him have Bella's felts. Thank goodness they're washable as he makes quite a mess. Here is a picture of his very first drawing.

Big Smiles for the Bath

Zach just loves the bath. Well really he loves anything with water! He can't wait to start swimming lessons but I want to make sure he's properly better before putting in a pool!
