Handsome Zach

It must be true that the camera adds 10 pounds or at least lots of chubbiness to Zach's cheeks. This picture looks a bit more like him. We certainly think he's very handsome.

Zach's First Smiles

Zach has been smiling from day 1 as he's full of wind but from around 4 weeks he seemed to actually be smiling for a reason. He loves the baby in his mirror best but Mummy gets lots of smiles too. Daddy gets a few frowns as he doesn't have the milk mummies.

Plunket

Zach had his first Plunket visit today! He weighed in at 10 pounds 7 ounces.

Nanny came to visit today and was impressed that at 5 weeks he was already trying to crawl and roll! I have a feeling we may have an early mover on our hands!

Bella's Stories

Bella always says the cutest things.

When she was showing off her Christmas decoration that Nanny bought her she said "this is my decoration, my gumboot, my Christmas gumboot". To everyone else it would be called a Christmas stocking!

When Matt got home from work the other night Bella said "Shall we crack open a beer Daddy?". She's obviously learned what happens after work!

When we were out walking Bella said "What did you say Daddy?" Matt said "Something bit me", Bella said "What was it?" Matt said "Perhaps a sand fly or mosquito", Bella said "or maybe a giraffe". I think we might have noticed if  a giraffe had walked by!

I said to Bella, "Can you check on Zach?" I then left the room and when I got back I called out to Bella in the lounge "How's Zach?". Bella said "I'm just taking his blood pressure". She's very thorough looking after her little brother. "I said you're the Doctor and Zach's the patient". Bella said "Zach's being very patient waiting for Mummy".

Bella said Matt "what do you want to be when you grow up? Matt said "I'm already grown up, what do you want to be? Bella said I'd like to be a Hairdresser and a Doctor.

Sleeping on Grandad

We went to visit Nanny and Grandad. Zach loved cuddles with Grandad. He made a very comfortable bed!

Bella had fun joining the pram and shopping trolley together and taking pussy out on her imaginary adventures.

Christmas - Pancakes and present time

On Christmas morning, Nanny, Grandad and Uncle Geoff came over bright and early for breakfast pancakes and opening presents. I couldn't believe we were allowed ice cream for breakfast!

I got so many presents I actually got unwrapping fatigue! I particulary loved my new car for my dolls house people, the dress up puzzle from Uncle Geoff and Aunty Alex and the playdough set from Uncle Ali and Aunty Lee.

Santa had also left me another bag of presents. I really liked the stickers, the marshmallow Santa and the clothes for Izzy.

Christmas - My new trampoline

Santa bought me a trampoline on his sleigh. Unfortunately, he couldn't fit the net on with all the other presents but he said Daddy would fix it up later in the week. I think it's fabulous and so does Daddy!
