Nearly 17 months!

I've grown up so much lately! I now say short sentences and count to 3! I have very good manners as I've learned they can get me what I want!

Unfortunately, I've decided the potty isn't for me. When I need to go to the toilet I start asking for a nappy!

I'm very helpful around the house and I'm generally very obedient. However, I do like to wind Daddy up sometimes and do the opposite of what he says and then get my finger out and yell "No". It's funny imitating Daddy. He he!

Mangakawa Reserve and Karapiro

We went for a short forest walk in the Mangakawa Reserve. There were some lovely views over the Waikato. Daddy loved biking down the steep windy hill.

Afterwards we went to visit Granny and Grandad in their caravan again. All my cousins were there to play! I was especially excited when Mackenzie turned up! We got to go swimming again. It seems we swim everyday at the moment as it's so hot!

Te Waihou Walkway

On New Years Day, we did the Te Waihou Walkway. The Southern end of the walkway is very pictureque and the river had the clearest water I've ever seen. I got to touch a rainbow trout and Daddy went swimming even though it was only 11 degrees. Mummy and I just paddled.

We popped in to see Nanny and Grandad in their caravan. Lake Karapiro was much warmer for swimming! On the way home I got to have my first meal out at a Thai Restaurant in Cambridge!

Raglan

Daddy took me for my first boat ride on a Kayak. I wasn't that keen on kayaking as it meant I had to stay still. All I wanted to do was get in the water. I did get used to the boat and we actually managed to cross the harbour and explore the pancake rocks and a muddy beach.

The best bit came afterwards though. Mummy and Daddy finally let me out of the boat and we got to play in the water and sand! I went crazy and Mummy and Daddy couldn't get all the sand off me for days!

My new lawnmower

Nana Joy and Grandad John bought me a lawnmower for Christmas. I absolutely love lawnmowers so I was a very happy little lady! Daddy and I can now mow the lawn together!

Kerryn and Amos

This morning Kerryn and Amos came to visit. Amos and I played with my dolls and teapot! He brought some flowers for me and when I gave him a yoyo he gave me a kiss!

Uncle Ali

Uncle Ali or "man" as I like to call him came to visit for Christmas. He was only here for a few days but he'll be back again soon.
