Auckland Zoo!

We visited Auckland Zoo with Ali, Lee and Ben! We realised that we hadn't taken Lucia to the zoo and she probably needed some more exposure to different types of animals or she may continue to think animals were either Tippy's (cats) or dogs.

Bella was super excited to see the baby giraffe. Zach loved the alligator and Lucia loved Ben! Bella and Zach loved crawling in the meerkat tunnels, climbing the ladders and peering through the bubbles. We discovered that Uncle Ali looked very similar to an orangutan.

Strawberry Picking!

The kids loved blueberry picking so much that we thought we'd try Strawberry picking. Fruitdale Orchard which is nearby has pick your own strawberries for a very reasonable price. We picked two big punnets for only $9! Entertainment and afternoon tea in one go!

Bella's first day back at School

Bella is back at Endeavour Primary School. She's moved to Learning Community 2 (LC2) which is called "Middle Earth". She's in a year 2-4 class with 82 children. Her friends Keira, Maia, and Zoe are all in her Ako (care) group but she's missing her friend Brianna who is still in LC3.

Here is Bella on the first morning of school looking super excited to get back to her learning! She scootered to school on her new pink scooter and when we got there Keira was looking just as excited to see Bella!

Blueberry Picking with Nanny and Grandad

We went blueberry picking with Nanny and Grandad before they went on holiday. My policy was to eat eat eat. Grandad and Matt did most of the picking. The kids all got certificates for their good work. Grandad shouted yummy blueberry ice creams at the cafe.
