Bowentown - Our last day!

Packing up the caravan was quite a long, hot business. We were supposed to be out of the campground by 10am but we didn't manage to leave until 12.30pm  after working solidly the whole time. Bella was very helpful taking out the pegs, packing her bag, drying the dishes etc. Zach helped some of the time and Lucia was a mischief maker. Bella thought drying the dishes was great fun - we must encourage that more at home.

After we finally left the campground we had a quick swim at Anzac Bay, went to the playground for a picnic lunch and an ice cream and then we finally got home about 5pm with a lot of chaos to sort out. The kids had a great holiday and loved being in the caravan.

Bowentown - Ben comes to visit

On Saturday Uncle Ali, Aunty Lee and Ben came to visit us in the caravan. We went on the fun bikes and visited the beach and then went out to dinner at the RSA. For the record Lucia and Ben are about the same size, Lucia just has very chubby cheeks!!!

Bowentown - Boogie Board Fun

The kids had lots of fun with Nanny and Grandad's Boogie Board and the new Boogie Board Bella got for Christmas. Lucia loves riding boogie boards anywhere. If they're being dragged along she thinks she should hop on. She spent most of Christmas riding around the lounge on Bella's. She was quite confused when some girls at the beach walked by pulling their boogie boards and didn't wait for her to jump on!

Career Options

I asked Bella what she thought I should be when I go back to work. I had to prompt her by suggesting "what is Mummy good at?" After a long silence she decided that I should be a dentist because I'm good at looking after teeth. I asked Zach what Mummy was good at and he said "putting the waters on the table for dinner" so I suggested I might be a good waitress.

Since this conversation, Bella has decided she doesn't just want to be a fairy she wants to be a fairy servant or a waitress. Zach on the other hand is so excited about our trip to Rarotonga later in the year that he has decided he'd quite like to be a pilot.

A great start to 2015 with the Macaskills!

We went over to the Macaskills for a lovely relaxing lunch. We ended up spending the whole afternoon chatting and letting the kids play. Dave and Michelle cooked us a lovely lunch. The kids had fun decorating cupcakes, playing in the new playhouse and riding around on their scooters.
